Hours: 8 - 4.30pm Mon - Thurs and 8 - 2.30pm Friday
We are recruiting a Planning Engineer to support structured, repeatable manufacturing processes. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust planning, ensuring effective works order sequencing and strong work centre performance.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain manufacturing information including route cards, bills of materials, planning structures and specifications in line with company standards.
- Use Evolution MRP to build and manage routings and BoMs.
- Define material requirements, manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment.
- Develop test specifications and support manufacture and rework of composite test samples.
- Establish production processes to a stable, repeatable standard that meets design and specification requirements.
- Support change control activity.
- Work with Production and Quality teams to resolve non-conformances and production issues.
- Apply lean principles to improve flow, reduce waste and shorten build cycles.
- Train colleagues on processes, applications and manufacturing data.

Skills and experience
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and related documents.
- Understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field desirable.
- Proven experience using an MRP system is essential.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering data.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Clear communication and ability to work across teams.
- Data analysis and problem solving capability.
- Able to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
