Are you a problem-solving engineer with a passion for automotive technology? We’re looking for a skilled Applications Engineer to join our client's innovative team. In this role, you’ll be involved in the complete product lifecycle—from concept and specification to sales support and marketing. If you thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and have strong engineering foundations, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and identify current and future needs of automotive customers, proposing innovative solutions.
- Manage and lead the full product lifecycle—from concept to release—meeting deadlines and adapting plans as needed.
- Negotiate and coordinate multiple, concurrent engineering projects with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively with development and test teams, reporting on project status.
- Create and maintain detailed product specifications to ensure efficient development and testing.
- Review product performance and provide feedback to development teams.
- Support customer service teams by providing expert technical guidance.
- Deliver pre-sales support, including customer demos, training, and quotations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on Expos, content creation, application notes, and articles.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Two or more years of experience in the automotive sector, preferably in vehicle testing.
- Engineering degree or HNC qualification.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, regulations, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical adaptability.
- Experience in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable
- Exposure to GNSS and INS technologies.
- Experience in sales and customer relationship management.
- Understanding of electronics, programming, or scripting.
