Our client is a well-established and growing organisation looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their busy finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with solid Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience, who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, payments are managed efficiently and financial records are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing expense approvals and reporting via SAP Concur
- Producing and managing payment schedules
- Reconciling bank statements against financial records
- Allocation of receivables and payables
- Recording transactions in accounting software and ledgers
- Administering an efficient credit control process
- Generating customer and supplier statements
- Communicating professionally with vendors, suppliers and clients
- Assisting with quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting with annual financial audits
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Key Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable β essential
- Experience using Net Suite and/or SAP Concur β essential
- Practical experience using the SAP Concur expense management system
- Experience preparing or assisting with quarterly VAT returns
- Experience working with CRM/ERP or accounting systems, with Net Suite experience highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
- A proactive approach with the initiative to problem-solve
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of financial statements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- ERP/accounting systems experience
- Supportive and professional working environment
