Builders Yard Operative
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Saturdays on a rota basis
Our client is looking for a hardworking and reliable Builders Yard Operative to join their busy and fast-paced builders' merchant yard. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a friendly, hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Serving trade and retail customers in the yard
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe
- Operating a forklift (where qualified/experienced)
- Assisting with general yard duties as required
Requirements:
- A valid forklift licence or previous experience operating a forklift
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a busy, physical environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
