UNICEF ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated, and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

This is a great opportunity to join the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) as a Supporter Engagement Assistant. You will be joining a dedicated team of 11 who provide the highest level of customer service and directly engage with members of the public by responding to enquiries and engaging in conversations.

As the first point of call for both our supporters and members of the public, you will handle telephone calls, emails, live chat, text, social media, and occasionally letters.

This role requires you to \’think with your head’ and \’act with your heart’ to ensure the very best experiences for those contacting and engaging with us. Some conversations may involve distressing content related to children, but you will have access to comprehensive support and experienced colleagues.

You should have experience with various communication methods and knowledge of databases. You will work collaboratively as part of a team; being proactive and a problem solver to see cases through to successful resolution.

Our Supporter Care service operates from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

If you have questions about this role, please contact Vicky Johnson, our Head of Supporter Care.

Our application process: We use the \”Applied\” system that anonymises responses and focuses on relevant skills, increasing your chances in this objective selection process.

Most colleagues will work part in the office and part from home, with flexible options available to suit your circumstances.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian, and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, disabled candidates, and men to increase diversity at this level. We believe greater diversity leads to better results for children.

UNICEF UK promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion. Employment decisions are based on skills and experience, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

We welcome discussions about flexible working, personal growth, and a workplace where you can be yourself and succeed based on merit.

The successful candidate will need to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record may not necessarily disqualify you, depending on the role and offences.

We only accept online applications to save costs and maximize funds for children’s rights.

If you do not hear within 14 days after the closing date, please assume your application was unsuccessful. Feedback is only provided to shortlisted candidates.
