Job Overview:
We’re looking for a versatile, hands‑on tradesperson skilled across mechanical fitting, welding, pipe fitting, and metal fabrication. You’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and fabricating equipment within industrial and combustion environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Mechanical Fitting: Install, service, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Align, fit, and assemble components using hand and power tools. Perform preventive maintenance and system servicing.
- Welding: Carry out MIG, TIG, and stick welding (coded welding preferred). Fabricate and join metal components to specification. Interpret welding symbols and drawings, ensuring high‑quality workmanship. Install, maintain, and repair piping systems. Work from piping diagrams and isometric drawings. Cut, thread, and bend pipes; install valves and fittings. Conduct pressure and leak tests (Gas Safe qualification preferred).
- Fabrication: Produce metal structures and components from raw materials. Measure, cut, and assemble materials to precise tolerances. Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in industrial or commercial settings.
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience (mechanical, welding, pipe fitting, or fabrication).
- Coded welding certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift and first aid certifications (advantageous).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
- Cross‑trained in multiple disciplines (advantageous).
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
- Self‑motivated, safety‑focused, and quality‑driven.
Working Conditions:
May require shift work, overtime, and travel to job sites. Must be comfortable working in varied conditions (heat, noise, confined spaces). Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
