Due to significant growth across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and South London, we are seeking an experienced and ambitiousSenior Recruitment Consultantto lead candidate generation, talent acquisition and workforce growth across our expanding healthcare division.

This is not a standard recruitment role.

We need someone who genuinely understands health and social care recruitment and who has successfully recruited high volumes of:

  • Support Workers
  • Senior Support Workers
  • Complex Care Support Workers
  • Healthcare Assistants
  • Live-In Carers
  • Community Care Staff
  • Registered General Nurses (RGNs)
  • Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs)
  • Paediatric Nurses
  • Clinical Support Workers
  • Team Leaders
  • Service Managers

for community, supported living, domiciliary care and complex healthcare environments.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring Unicare maintains a continuous pipeline of highly skilled and compliant healthcare professionals.

Working closely with operational, clinical and senior leadership teams, you will play a vital role in supporting service growth, commissioning opportunities and new complex care packages.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Candidate Attraction

  • Source, attract and recruit high-quality healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for difficult-to-fill roles.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Engage passive candidates through proactive outreach.
  • Utilise CV databases, LinkedIn and healthcare job boards.
  • Attend recruitment events, job fairs and networking opportunities.

Clinical & Complex Care Recruitment

Recruit for:

  • Tracheostomy Care Staff
  • Ventilator Care Staff
  • PEG Feeding Specialists
  • Epilepsy Support Workers
  • Mental Health Support Workers
  • Learning Disability Specialists
  • Autism Practitioners
  • Community-Based Support Teams
  • RGN Nurses
  • RMN Nurses
  • Paediatric Nurses

Compliance & Safer Recruitment

  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations.
  • Complete safer recruitment checks.
  • Review Right to Work documentation.
  • Obtain and verify references.
  • Process Enhanced DBS checks.
  • Verify NMC registrations.
  • Ensure all recruitment files meet audit requirements.

Relationship Management

  • Work closely with Service Managers and Operations.
  • Understand service user needs and staffing requirements.
  • Coordinate urgent staffing requests.
  • Develop strong relationships with candidates and healthcare professionals.

Workforce Growth

  • Develop recruitment strategies to support rapid organisational growth.
  • Improve staff retention through effective candidate matching.
  • Monitor recruitment KPIs and conversion ratios.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives.

Essential Experience

We are specifically seeking someone who has:

?Minimum 3-5 years' recruitment experience

?Minimum 2-3 years' health & social care recruitment experience

?Experience recruiting for:

  • Support Workers
  • Healthcare Assistants
  • Mental Health Workers
  • Learning Disability Services
  • Complex Care Packages
  • Clinical Healthcare Services

?Experience recruiting Registered Nurses

?Knowledge of:

  • CQC Regulations
  • Safer Recruitment
  • Skills for Care Guidance
  • DBS Procedures
  • Right to Work Legislation
  • NMC Registration Requirements

?Proven record of achieving recruitment targets

?Strong candidate sourcing capability

?Excellent interviewing and assessment skills

?Full UK Driving Licence
