Female only Complex Care Support Worker £15.00 per Hour Unicare Complex Care Specialist Ltd Pay: £15.00 per hour Role: Complex Care Support Worker Support Level: 2:1 Care Make a Real Difference Every Day Unicare Complex Care Specialist Ltd is looking for compassionate, patient and confident Complex Care Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality 2:1 support to a young person with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about person-centred care and has the confidence to support an individual who requires a high level of supervision, reassurance and assistance both at home and in the community. About the Role The individual requires 2:1 support due to significant disabilities, limited awareness of danger and behaviours that may place herself or others at risk. As part of a two-person support team, you will work together to: Maintain the individual's safety at home and in the community. Provide close supervision due to Pica and the risk of ingesting non-food items . Support with emotional regulation and periods of distress. Respond appropriately to behaviours that may include hitting, pinching, head-butting, hair pulling or property damage. Support safe transitions between activities and environments. Assist with communication and recognise non-verbal signs of pain, discomfort or distress. Encourage meaningful engagement and participation in activities. Support safe access to public places and transport. Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and Positive Behaviour Support strategies. Maintain accurate and professional care records. Work collaboratively with the individual's family and wider professional team. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Compassionate, patient and respectful. Calm and confident when supporting behaviours of concern. Highly observant and safety-conscious. Able to work effectively as part of a 2:1 support team . Comfortable supporting an individual with complex communication needs. Reliable, professional and committed to providing consistent care. Able to promote independence while maintaining appropriate levels of supervision. Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, Pica, complex needs or behaviours of concern would be highly desirable.
