About the Role

Are you a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) looking to practise true, person-centred nursing without the time pressures and constant turnover of a busy hospital ward? We are expanding our bespoke complex care services and are looking for highly skilled, compassionate Registered Nurses to deliver dedicated 1:1 care to clients with complex health and/or mental health needs, supported entirely in the comfort and safety of their own homes. You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of clinical governance and patient safety while empowering clients to live fulfilling, independent lives. Depending on the package you are matched to, this role may focus on complex physical health (for example ventilation and tracheostomy care) or complex mental health and behavioural support we match nurses to packages that fit their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complex physical health (RGN): safely manage high-acuity needs which may include invasive/non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, cough assist, suctioning and enteral feeding (PEG/JEG).
  • Complex mental health & behaviour (RMN): deliver positive behaviour support, risk assessment and management, and de-escalation, with care aligned to the Mental Capacity Act and relevant safeguarding frameworks.
  • Clinical leadership: act as a clinical role model, supervising and supporting healthcare assistants and support workers on shift to ensure delegated tasks are carried out safely.
  • Vigilant monitoring: continuously assess each client's condition, proactively identifying changes from baseline and executing emergency protocols calmly and rapidly when required.
  • Documentation: maintain impeccable, contemporaneous clinical records using our digital reporting systems for handovers, incident reporting and safeguarding.
  • Collaborative practice: work with our Clinical Lead, families, commissioners and the wider multi-disciplinary team to review and refine care.

About You

  • Active, unrestricted NMC PIN as a Registered Nurse Adult (RGN) and/or Mental Health (RMN).
  • Minimum 2 years' post-registration experience; backgrounds in ICU, HDU, A&E, community complex care, or mental health/PICU settings are particularly welcome.
  • Physical complex care: demonstrable competence and knowledge in airway management (tracheostomy/ventilation) and complex physiological monitoring.
  • Mental health roles: experience in risk management, behavioural support and working with people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs.
  • Right to Work in the UK (this role does not offer visa sponsorship).
  • Hold, or be willing to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
  • Highly organised, resilient under pressure, and committed to preserving the dignity and autonomy of every client.

What We Offer

  • Flexible engagement full-time, part-time and bank patterns to suit your life.
  • Bespoke, client-specific induction and clinical sign-off from our Clinical Lead.
  • 24/7 clinical on-call support from our senior team.
  • Genuine career development opportunities to progress into Clinical Lead or Care Coordinator roles as the service grows.
