Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated full-stack developer with proven AWS experience to join our highly collaborative, fast paced team in developing cutting edge product solutions for the transport arena. As one of the lead developers at Unicard, your role will be to provide technical direction and support to team members, leading by example through hands on development and problem solving.

  • Champion best practices including code quality, testing and security.
  • Proactively support and drive architectural and technical decisions.
  • Help to ensure the rapid development of innovative, robust, market leading, cloud native solutions.
  • Provide technical support, guidance and mentorship to other team members.

You will be working on projects built upon a cutting-edge technology stack, including Typescript and AWS-CDK with a microservice architecture and innovative mobile and web frontends. Strong experience in both typescript and infrastructure as code (IaC) is essential in this role. Professional and Technical Experience

Essential:

  • 5+ years’ experience in writing production grade code in JavaScript or Typescript.
  • Proven experience delivering solutions in AWS using AWS CDK.
  • Skilled at developing and managing Infrastructure as Code, ensuring repeatable, automated CI/CD provisioning and deployment.
  • Adept at executing creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think outside the box to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Proficient in ensuring security, scalability, resilience, and observability are built into all solutions.
  • Good at identifying opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Able to produce clear, reusable documentation for architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Expert in Agile development methodologies and lifecycle processes.
  • Strong ability to mentor and oversee the development of secure, high-quality code, including tests, reviews and debugging code written by others.
  • Desire to facilitate team upskilling, development and knowledge transfer.
  • Good at collaborating with Product, Architecture, and DevOps to align technical solutions with business goals.
