The Account Manager I - EMEA is responsible for supporting and managing customer relationships for Unical within the UK and European markets. This role focuses on promoting and selling inventoried aviation parts, as well as sourcing aviation components not currently in inventory to meet customer RFQs.
The Account Manager I will deliver high-quality customer service, develop a strong understanding of customer requirements, and identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling. Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via telephone, email, and in-person meetings as required.
- Act as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Support sales activities by responding to RFQs and preparing competitive quotations.
- Promote and sell inventoried aviation parts and assist with sourcing parts not currently in stock.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, procurement, logistics, quality) to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Conduct basic market and competitor research to support sales strategies.
- Support achievement of individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
- Review monthly sales performance and contribute to forecast discussions.
- Attend team meetings, share best practices, and support colleagues as needed.
Experience in an aviation components sales or customer support environment is required, along with a basic understanding of aircraft airframe and engine technologies and operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, as well as proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Some travel may be required with notice. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently is necessary. Candidates should be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer, and physical activities may include walking, carrying, pushing, climbing, and reaching. This role is office-based in an administrative environment, with routine use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
