Position Summary: The Account Manager I - EMEA is responsible for supporting and managing customer relationships for Unical within the UK and European markets. This role focuses on promoting and selling inventoried aviation parts, as well as sourcing aviation components not currently in inventory to meet customer RFQs. The Account Manager I will deliver high-quality customer service, develop a strong understanding of customer requirements, and identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling. This role requires foundational aviation knowledge, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via telephone, email, and in-person meetings as required.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Gain an understanding of customer needs, operational challenges, and purchasing requirements.
  • Support sales activities by responding to RFQs and preparing competitive quotations.
  • Promote and sell inventoried aviation parts and assist with sourcing parts not currently in stock.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing customers.
  • Assist with business development efforts for new and prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, procurement, logistics, quality) to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and specifications.
  • Track orders through to delivery, ensuring deadlines and customer expectations are met.
  • Conduct basic market and competitor research to support sales strategies.
  • Provide customers with accurate product information and industry insights.
  • Assist with negotiations on pricing, delivery, and terms under guidance from leadership.
  • Support achievement of individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
  • Review monthly sales performance and contribute to forecast discussions.
  • Attend team meetings, share best practices, and support colleagues as needed.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, or customer visits when required.
  • Perform accurate cost calculations and maintain detailed records in company systems.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in an aviation components sales or customer support environment.
  • Basic understanding of aircraft airframe and engine technologies and operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to organize workload, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to conduct in-person customer visits as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using Quantum or similar ERP systems.

Travel: Some travel may be required with notice.

Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Physical activities may include walking, carrying, pushing, climbing, and reaching.

Working Conditions: Office-based administrative environment. Routine use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
