Westfield Rise (WR), URW's in-house retail media agency, is the one-stop destination for brands looking to create innovative, dynamic campaigns across a platform of best-in-class retail media assets. From experiential activations and event sponsorships to data-driven media solutions and long-term brand partnerships, WR brings together Brand Experience, Media, and Data & Services to deliver impact at scale. We're now seeking a driven professional to play a key role in our New Business Development team, supporting strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and unlocking sponsorship opportunities across our UK portfolio of flagship shopping centres.

Key Objectives

  • Support New Business Development - Work closely with the Lead New Business Manager to help achieve Westfield Rise's Brand Experience, Media, and Data income targets across the UK portfolio (currently four shopping centres, with further growth planned).
  • Drive Strategic Partnerships - Contribute to the creation of 360Β° partnerships by supporting pitches, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Deliver Revenue Growth - Target key categories to generate income across Experiential, Media, and Partnership streams.
  • Activate Sponsorships & Events - Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities to meet event-related income goals and bring activations to life.

What you will be doing...

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brands and agencies.
  • Monitor global trends to identify opportunities for brand-led, engaging consumer experiences.
  • Source profitable opportunities by leveraging existing assets and client relationships.
  • Contribute to creating a stable, long-term revenue platform.
  • Research leads and stay informed on client campaigns and competitor activity to drive proactive engagement.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead identification, pitching, responding to briefs, negotiation, delivery of Westfield Rise packages, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for long-term partnerships, ensuring smooth communication, troubleshooting, and collateral updates.
  • Deliver end-to-end service with a proactive, innovative approach to uphold Westfield Rise's high standards.

Sales Performance:

  • Budget Contribution – Support the Lead New Business Manager by managing a defined portion of the Westfield Rise new business budget.
  • Drive Success – Achieving and exceeding Westfield Rise's new business revenue targets across Experiential, Media, data and Partnerships.
  • Pipeline Development – Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent progression from prospecting to conversion.
  • High-impact Pitching – Deliver compelling pitches and proposals that clearly communicate Westfield Rise's value proposition to secure new business.
  • Negotiation & Closing – Lead negotiations with clients and agencies to close profitable deals and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Client Engagement & Networking – Work with existing clients while actively building a personal network to promote the Westfield audience and drive new opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Input – Contribute to motivation and sales strategies for Brand Experience and Media teams, identifying opportunities for broader, integrated deals.
  • Category Targeting – Strategically focus on high-potential categories to drive growth and meet budget objectives.
  • Cross-Selling & Upselling – Maximise income by identifying opportunities to integrate media, experiential, and data solutions into client activations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration – Liaise with Marketing, Centre Management, and Events teams to leverage assets, maximise income, and enhance consumer experiencesβ€”particularly on CAPEX projects.
  • Relationship Development – Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, media, promotional, and specialist agencies to secure repeat business.
  • Regional Collaboration – Work with regional colleagues to identify new product opportunities and share best practices.
  • Campaign Visibility – Maintain strong relationships with Westfield Rise's PR agency to ensure maximum exposure for key campaigns.

Management Reporting:

  • Provide ongoing monthly financial reporting and forecasting to the business.
  • Reporting and analysis of financial performance against historical trends by category to identify opportunities and address growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all income and pipeline is correctly reported through CP Tool.

Account Management:

  • Contract & Compliance Management – Work with the Legal team to ensure all activities are supported by appropriate agreements and meet compliance standards, including GDPR and AML procedures.
  • Financial Accuracy – Adhere to account procedures for invoicing, payment collection, and sales reporting, maintaining Westfield's zero-debt policy.
  • Sales Collateral & Documentation – Keep all sales materials, presentations, and client-specific information updated in line with global guidelines and industry standards.
  • Approval & Safety Compliance – Understand and follow approval processes, including technical compliance, fire safety, and health and safety requirements.

URW Standards:

  • Ensure all communications are consistent, professional and reflect the character of the Centre and core values of URW.
  • Actively seek best practice from other Centres, the global portfolio and external influences.

What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?

  • Proven Industry Experience – Minimum 3 years' experience with a strong track record in sales & new business teams, integrated media agency, sponsorship or partnership agency or media owner environment.
  • Sales & Media Market Expertise – Excellent sales skills combined with in-depth knowledge of the media market and industry trends.
  • Creative Pitching & Presentation – Ability to develop compelling pitch documents, think creatively, and present with confidence and conviction.
  • Client Targeting & Conversion – Skilled in identifying target clients and creating tailored outreach strategies to convert opportunities into sales.
  • Communication Excellence – Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Strong ability to analyse data, solve problems, and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Negotiation & Networking – Proven ability to negotiate effectively and build influential networks within the media, brand experience and brand partnership ecosystem.
