Want to be part of something people experience every day?
We’re looking for a Retail Project Manager to join our Westfield London team.
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering new retail spaces, supporting tenant openings and helping shape the experience of one of the UK’s most iconic retail destinations.
You’ll be close to the action, working with tenants, Leasing, Retail Design, Construction and Centre Management teams, and you’ll have the chance to make a visible impact across Westfield London.
If you enjoy taking ownership, working with great people and making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
Why this role matters
Our retail destinations are constantly evolving, and the successful delivery of new stores plays a key role in creating great experiences for our customers, tenants and brand partners.
In this role, you’ll manage the full retail delivery process from lease agreement through to store opening, making sure tenants are supported, key milestones are achieved and each project is delivered safely, compliantly and on time.
You’ll be a key link between our internal teams and external tenants, helping to bring new concepts, brands and experiences to life at Westfield London.
Your work will directly support leasing activity, rental income, tenant readiness and the continued performance of the asset.
What you’ll be getting involved in
No two days will look exactly the same, but you’ll spend your time
- Managing the full retail delivery process from lease agreement through to tenant opening.
- Acting as the main point of contact for tenants throughout the delivery journey.
- Coordinating with Leasing, Retail Design, Construction, Centre Management and other internal teams to keep projects moving.
- Establishing and managing project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved and properly documented.
- Supporting leasing negotiations by providing technical, procedural and unit-specific information.
- Preparing landlord work scopes, technical appendices and other project documentation to support lease agreements.
- Coordinating landlord works, including internal approvals, capital expense approvals and handover to tenants.
- Managing tenant design submissions through concept and technical design stages.
- Ensuring tenant designs meet retail design, structural, MEPH and statutory requirements.
- Managing pre-start meetings, approvals, RAMS, permits and compliance requirements before tenant works begin.
- Monitoring tenant fit-out works to ensure they align with approved designs, centre standards, health and safety requirements and agreed programme timelines.
- Supporting compliance with CDM, risk management, environmental, insurance and statutory requirements.
- Coordinating store opening inspections and ensuring any outstanding issues or snagging items are followed through after opening.
- Managing tenant exits and supporting the upkeep of vacant units ahead of future leasing opportunities.
- Maintaining and improving key retail delivery documentation, including fit-out guides, site constraints guidance and tenant or contractor guidelines.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, procedures and ways of working across retail delivery.
- What we’re looking for
We’re not looking for someone who ticks every single box. What matters most is that you bring the right experience, attitude and energy to make a real contribution.
You’ll enjoy this role if you
- Have experience in project management, construction, retail delivery, fit-out, property or a similar environment.
- Understand the construction project lifecycle and enjoy seeing projects through from concept to completion.
- Are confident managing multiple stakeholders and building trust quickly.
- Like taking ownership and keeping complex projects organised and moving forward.
- Can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enjoy solving problems and finding practical ways to keep projects on track.
- Are comfortable balancing commercial priorities, tenant needs, operational requirements and compliance obligations.
- Care about delivering work that has real impact on the customer, tenant and asset experience.
It would be great if you also bring
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience, ideally with significant experience in a related project, construction or retail delivery role.
- SMSTS, NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety training.
- A CSCS White or Black Card.
- Experience working in a retail, mixed-use, property, construction or asset management environment.
- Knowledge of construction health and safety, CDM legislation, statutory requirements and relevant codes of practice.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel.
