We’re looking for a talented individual to join our Facilities Team as a Facilities Manager. Play a key role in shaping the long‑term performance of the Centre by delivering a robust asset strategy that protects and enhances the building fabric, systems, plant, and equipment while driving innovation to maintain its premium positioning.

You’ll also lead the development and delivery of an effective contract procurement and management plan, ensuring all services meet consistently high standards and reflect best‑practice estate management.

  • Manage hard services contractors, ensuring daily inspections, defect management, and high‑quality maintenance across the Centre.
  • Conduct regular site walks with contractors to review workmanship, compliance, and service delivery.
  • Report operational findings and recommendations to the Senior Facilities Manager and deputise when required.
  • Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date PPM plan covering all service requirements.
  • Develop clear contract scopes, specifications, and service level agreements that support asset lifecycle and performance.
  • Lead tender processes in collaboration with procurement and other UK assets.
  • Prepare business cases and commercial recommendations for contractor appointments.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Manage allocated budget areas and contribute to long‑term forecasting, ensuring best value for money.
  • Source competitive quotations, benchmark costs, and promote local procurement where appropriate.
  • Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives that reduce service charge and improve ROI.
  • Oversee purchase orders, goods receipting, and creditor payments with strong financial discipline.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, CDM, insurance, ISO45001 and ISO14001 requirements.
  • Produce contract performance reviews and compliance reports.
  • Support the development of long‑term sustainability programmes that reduce carbon footprint and promote environmental best practice.
  • Embed energy‑efficient and sustainable requirements into third‑party contracts.
  • Provide leadership and support to the facilities team and wider business.
  • Collaborate across both centres to support delivery of the Centre’s Business Plan.

Proven experience in the Facilities Management and Building Services sectors. Demonstrated experience working in a senior position, able to demonstrate a management focus and leadership skills. Extensive experience in the scoping, tendering, negotiation, mobilisation, and management of contracts. Relevant safety training and a working knowledge of health and safety legislation with practical experience in the implementation of procedures. Demonstrated understanding of building principles and mechanical systems. Demonstrated experience creating and monitoring budgets. Experience of project planning and management would be advantageous. NEBOSH, or at least IOSH. Relevant Legionella management awareness and training.
