Within our Northern Europe Region - spanning the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK - we own and manage eight exceptional assets. These include Westfield Mall of the Netherlands, Stadshart Amstelveen, Westfield London, Westfield Stratford City, Croydon and St James Quarter in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the leasing strategy for Croydon and St James Quarter in Edinburgh, ensuring each asset has a clear, commercially driven plan.
- Own the leasing input into the Annual Business Plan, budgets, long-term forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Deliver all leasing KPIs, including deal volume, vacancy targets, base and turnover rent, and ERV growth.
- Build and communicate a strong leasing vision, aligning internal teams, JV partners, and brand partners.
- Develop direct relationships with brands to secure high-quality deals and maximise commercial outcomes.
- Ensure full compliance with KYC requirements across all transactions.
- Manage internal leasing resources and external agents, ensuring alignment with asset strategy and high-quality execution.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the leasing team, ensuring balanced workloads and strong performance.
- Source and secure new brands across retail and emerging sectors.
- Negotiate lettings from initial interest through to exchange, opening, and completion, including approvals, legal process, and landlord works.
- Maximise PR opportunities from lettings in partnership with the Communications team.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities with Commercial Partnerships.
- Review and optimise unit configurations to maximise income and returns.
- Collaborate with Asset Management, Centre Management, Finance, Development, Legal, Marketing & PR on strategic leasing matters.
- Oversee and coach external agents to ensure consistent standards, strong brand engagement, and commercially focused outcomes.
- Lead anchor tenant strategy and negotiations, securing and optimising long-term anchor relationships.
Must have significant experience in the retail property industry with a proven track record in leasing, sales, marketing and/or operations on a high-quality portfolio. Genuine interest in retail, the dynamics of retail and key trends, with a clear understanding of how long-term sustainability should be a priority over short-term gains. Experience or studies in Estate Management or Business Management. A good understanding of ESG and how Leasing can contribute to the sustainability agenda. A proven track record in building successful relationships with Stakeholders, understanding the strategic objectives and converting them into long-term partnerships. Project leasing and anchor tenant letting experience is required.
