UFG is a fast-growing global provider of marine fuel solutions, helping shipping companies optimize fuel procurement across all markets and time zones. We are looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead commercial strategy, drive sales growth, and personally manage key customer relationships.

Your role as the General Manager of our London office:

  • You will be responsible for the overall commercial performance (P&L, customer and supplier management, operations) of the bunker trading desk, while also actively originating and closing sales deals.
  • You are both the commercial head and the lead salesperson of the office – executing the strategy, building the team, and leading by example on the trading desk.
  • Accountable for full P&L of our London office.
  • Oversee and manage daily end-to-end bunker trading activities of our London office.
  • Continuously identify, develop and devise commercial strategy and growth opportunities in line with market trends.
  • Define, track, and enforce KPIs for the commercial team.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company policies and relevant regulatory requirements where the Company operates.
  • Maintain and grow a personal portfolio of key accounts across all market segments.
  • Represent the company at industry events, shipping forums, and client meetings.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring of the London trading desk in alignment with Company hiring and compensation policies.

Deep bunker trading experience and a proven track record in a management or senior commercial role, including full P&L ownership.

Strong and detailed knowledge of the marine fuel industry and shipping markets.

Ability to manage a lean but high-performance trading team.

Established network of ship owners, charterers, operators and physical suppliers.
