Overview

My client, a market leading design and build studio in London, is looking for a Midweight Interior Designer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer who wants to take ownership of projects from concept through to on-site completion. You will work closely with clients to design workplaces that are functional, inspiring, and sustainably considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative design concepts, mood boards, and space plans that respond to client briefs and support successful pitches.
  • Produce detailed technical drawing packages, including floor plans, elevations, joinery details, and specifications.
  • Present design schemes directly to clients and confidently guide them through material selections and design revisions.
  • Work closely with project managers and contracts managers on site to resolve technical queries and protect design integrity.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years’ experience working on UK commercial office fit-out projects, ideally within a design and build or consultancy environment.
  • Strong workplace fit-out experience is essential. Applications without relevant commercial office experience cannot be considered.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; Revit would be a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, commercial space planning, and workplace wellbeing trends.
