We’re working with a well-Design and Build company looking to appoint two Design Managers to join a major commercial Cut & Carve project. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in commercial fit-out or refurbishment who wants strong exposure on a complex live project and the chance to step up quickly.

You’ll be joining on a first project within the business, supporting the Senior Design Manager from day one while taking real ownership of allocated design packages. The role will suit someone who is confident coordinating consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, and who can manage design information in a structured, delivery-focused environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of allocated design packages from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Coordinating design information to ensure buildability, compliance and technical alignment.
  • Managing day-to-day communication with architects, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Supporting and leading elements of design team meetings.
  • Managing design interfaces on Cut & Carve works, including structural alterations, strip-out and existing building constraints.
  • Coordinating new services and fit-out packages.
  • Tracking design progress against the Design Release Schedule.
  • Supporting the alignment of design with programme, procurement and cost.
  • Maintaining clear communication on progress, risks and key deliverables.
  • Ensuring all outputs meet the required standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Background in commercial fit-out, refurbishment or Cut & Carve projects.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and construction detailing.

  • Confident communicator who can work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Revit proficiency and experience within coordinated drawing / BIM environments.
