What does it mean to be part of the Replenishment Team? As a Reach Lift Operator, you will use a piece of equipment called a Reach Lift to move products within the warehouse. It is designed to work in narrow aisles, allowing operators to reach high shelves while maintaining stability. These lifts are ideal for storing and retrieving goods from elevated storage spaces, offering enhanced maneuverability compared to traditional forklifts. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring products are readily available for various teams within the warehouse.

Starting pay rate of $21.00/Hr

Schedule: Varied Shifts M-F 12 am Start 9 am start, 1 weekend day required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Replenish Pick slots
  • Inspect assigned lift and complete vehicle inspection sheet.
  • Replenish pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, use the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.
  • Report to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet and replenishment discrepancies sheet.
  • Maintain correct counts and log any discrepancies in inventory.
  • Verify that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
  • Remove all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles. Separate the good, bad, and blue pallets and neatly stage in pallet staging area.
  • Operate the lift in a safe and efficient manner and park and recharge lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.

Job Requirements:

  • Understand procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations.
  • Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding; subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard; ounce, and pound.
  • Able to read and communicate in English.
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Experience:

  • Previous Warehouse/High Reach experience preferred

Work Environment:

Onsite Role: This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office.

Physical Environment/Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
  • Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.
  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
  • Ability to operate work-related equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
