What You Will Be Doing

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered commercially and financially successfully, working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for MEP packages.
  • Managing project costs and monitoring expenditure throughout delivery.
  • Evaluating subcontractor quotations and assisting with procurement activities.
  • Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure accurate cost planning.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Producing regular cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
  • Supporting value engineering initiatives to optimise project performance and cost efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an organised and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with experience in building services and a strong understanding of MEP installations. Ideally, you will have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working as an MEP Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within the building services sector.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations within commercial, industrial, logistics, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and contract administration.
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
