We are seeking a highly organised and tech-savvy Contract Manager to manage our subcontractor network and app-based supply chain system. This is a full-function role covering everything from onboarding new suppliers, assigning and auditing work, to invoicing.
You will be managing a diverse range of subcontractors, from one-man bands to large limited companies, ensuring all work meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role is high-volume and fast-paced, predominantly in social housing repairs (approx. 80% of orders), with average values up to £500, and occasional larger projects up to £25,000.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and manage work for subcontractors at high volume using our app-based supply chain system.
- Scope repairs and assign works using standard coding practices.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and manage invoicing for subcontractor work.
- Onboard and train new suppliers on the app system, ensuring they can efficiently process, report, and complete work.
- Monitor and audit subcontractor performance to ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
- Maintain strong engagement with subcontractors of all sizes, resolving issues quickly to maintain service standards.
- Provide accurate reporting and updates to the management team.
- Handle a varied workload, balancing routine repairs with larger, complex projects.
- Proven experience in supply chain or contract management, ideally in construction or social housing.
- Strong knowledge of repair and construction works.
- Experience managing a diverse supplier base from sole traders to corporate companies.
- Comfortable with technology-based supply chain systems and supplier training.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track performance and improve processes.
- Able to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
