We are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join one of our most established clients within the Design and Build sector. This family run business has over 40 years of experience delivering high value leisure projects, including swimming pools, fitness suites and studios, cafés and wider sports facilities. They provide a complete service from initial concept through to delivery, working on projects ranging from £5M to £50M. Their work is dedicated to creating high quality spaces that support local communities, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, functionality and long term value.
This is a permanent position based primarily on site around the Farnborough, Hampshire area, with some flexibility for remote working where appropriate.
Site Manager Responsibilities- Lead daily site operations and ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the programme.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to maintain quality and productivity.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and maintain strong communication across the workforce.
- Monitor progress against construction programmes and identify issues early.
- Maintain detailed site records, daily logs and progress reports.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to keep the project on schedule.
- Ensure the site complies with all statutory and company health and safety requirements.
- Carry out regular inspections and promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure all work complies with building regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee workmanship to ensure it aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
- Manage snagging, inspections and the handover process.
- Work with design teams to resolve technical queries quickly and effectively.
- Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and design teams.
- Support the Project Manager by coordinating site based communication between construction and design.
- Attend site meetings and raise concerns or updates clearly and promptly.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager working on leisure or commercial projects.
- Experience delivering projects valued between £5M and £50M.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, technical drawings and design coordination.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety procedures and quality control.
- Flexibility to travel and stay away when required, with accommodation covered.
- Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
- A construction related degree is desirable but not essential.
