Senior Civil Engineer sought at a leading and reputable SME Multidisciplinary Consultancy. This role is based in Wigan.
Our client is a leading and wellâestablished consulting engineering company in the North West, providing civil and structural engineering advice and design solutions for projects ranging from small developments to largeâscale commercial and residential works. They are seeking a Senior Civils Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, particularly in the residential development sector. You will take ownership of highways and drainage design, external levels, and plot drainage, while contributing to feasibility studies and site appraisals across residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities- Lead the design of highways and drainage schemes for residential developments.
- Undertake site appraisals and prepare drainage feasibility studies.
- Provide input into Flood Risk Assessments and sustainable drainage strategies.
- Prepare and manage Section 38 & Section 104 submissions and approvals.
- Liaise with Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) in England and SAS in Wales.
- Produce detailed design drawings using AutoCAD, Causeway PDS, and Causeway Flow.
- Collaborate with structural and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support junior engineers and contribute to team development.
- Attend client meetings and represent the practice at project reviews.
- Minimum of 5 years' design office track record in civil engineering.
- Proven ability to complete designs independently and manage projects.
- Strong knowledge of highways, drainage and flood risk design.
- Background working with local authorities and statutory approval processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Causeway PDS, and Causeway Flow.
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills.
- A team player who values working in a friendly, nonâcorporate environment.
