We are working with a growing FinTech firm based in London who deliver institutional level solutions to highly sophisticated private investors. Due to significant and sustained growth, they are looking to add an experienced client advisor to their team. This is one of the most exciting FinTechs that have launched in the last decade and already have significant Assets on board. Their culture is progressive, collegiate and is best described as high performance but low ego.
This position is with a highly entrepreneurial firm who have disrupted the Private Wealth Asset manager space by utilising technology and data in innovative ways. In the last couple of years this firm have grown their client and asset base and are looking to continue to grow their team as a result. Recent hires include talent from top tier Institutional, as well as Private Client, firms. More details on request, but it should be stressed that there are several differentiating factors this firm have compared to their competition in what is a crowded market. Perhaps best described as having the culture of a FinTech start up whilst delivering institutional level service to sophisticated investors.
They are looking for a well-rounded candidate who can look after a number of clients. They are looking to hire an experienced advisor with an interest in re-inventing the wealth management industry and the attributes to be successful in a dynamic, collegiate and ego-free culture. They are looking for someone who can combine a commercial, yet consultative, approach to clients and who have a knowledge of sophisticated investment products across both public and private markets along with having a deep understanding of the UK UHNWI market.
As with any role with a smaller, growing firm, this position will be broad in scope and there will be significant chances to take on responsibilities. Some key aspects of this role will include:
- Be an Adviser to Ultra High Net Worth Clients
- Advise on all aspects of the Client’s Financial Life and implications for wrappers and interaction with investment management
- Contribute to firm’s approach to lifestyle financial planning
- Be part of broader firm building initiatives
Whilst our client is prioritising the person over the CV, the ideal skill set would look like the following:
- Extensive experience delivering financial advice to ultra-high-net-worth clients. Ideally, the right candidate will have over 5 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 1 year delivering advice.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with UHNW clients.
- Proven experience providing financial advice to sophisticated (U)HNW clients. Ideally, this will include providing investment advice across public and private markets.
- Excellent technical knowledge of financial planning including trusts, pensions and intergenerational planning
- Experience of financial planning software
- Excellent communication skills essential
- Advanced Diploma (or be within one exam of it) or Chartered/Certified Financial Planner (Level 6/7)
- Detailed technical understanding of cash flow based planning
- Inquisitive character with demonstrated desire to continue to learn and improve in relevant fields
- Strongly motivated, sets demanding standards of personal excellence
- Enjoys diving deep into the technology development process and seeks to streamline workflows
