The location of the role is Stevenage (onsite). The duration of the contract is 12 months. The pay rate on offer is £20 - £22 per hour (via PAYE terms).
Role Summary
The Application Scientist is responsible for digging deep into our methods and processes to understand how our novel chromatography technology works in customer hands. Role sits within the Fibro R&D department.
Key accountabilities of the role:
- Work closely with a cross-disciplinary R&D team of Biologists, Chemists, Engineers and Material Scientists to support method development and process characterisation activities.
- Plan, execute and develop experiments for process and product characterisation of Fibro materials and devices.
- Review and write reports and interrogate data generated from various analytical methods, or development projects.
- Prepare and present data internally in the form of presentations, technical reports, memos and eLNs.
Key skills and experience:
- Must have a degree in a bioscience based field, PhD preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial experience working with Protein A chromatography media for bioprocess applications (R&D or process development setting preferred).
- You will have hands-on experience developing and verifying purification processes in a laboratory environment.
