Overview: Our client is part of a prestigious, nationwide site investigation, contaminated land and geotechnical consultancy, providing integrated multidisciplinary services to a wide range of sectors. They are looking for a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their Glasgow team successfully delivering consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities. Responsibilities:
- Design and manage a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within the company.
- Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling.
- Prepare H&S plans and RAMS.
- Preparing of Remediation Strategies, including verification works on site.
- Establishing and developing strong working relationships with new and existing clients, which is integral to the growth of the department and the wider business.
- Provide technical leadership in the day-to-day delivery of projects.
Requirements:
- BEng or BSc or equivalent in Civil, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
- An MSc/further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent is desirable.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant industry background.
- Registered with a suitable professional body and working towards Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g. Geol Soc/CIWEM/ICE).
- Significant and demonstrable background in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental investigations and reporting.
