Senior Business Analyst (Operations), Asset Manager, London [Onsite]

We're working with a specialist asset manager looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst to support a period of significant operational transformation.

Working across Operations and Technology, you'll identify opportunities to improve reconciliations, settlements, trade support and operational controls through process optimisation, system enhancements and automation.

The role combines business analysis, technology change and stakeholder engagement, with a particular focus on operational efficiency, data-driven reporting, KPI development and evaluating emerging AI-led solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational process improvement and automation initiatives across investment operations.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technology and process solutions.
  • Improve reconciliation, settlement and exception management controls.
  • Deliver operational reporting, KPI frameworks and management insights.
  • Support corporate actions, reference data and operational control improvements, identifying recurring issues and driving long-term solutions.
  • Partner with custodians, administrators and technology vendors to investigate operational challenges and support service enhancements.
  • Identify and assess AI, automation and workflow optimisation opportunities to reduce manual effort and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Key Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within asset management, fund administration or investment operations.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliations, settlements, corporate actions and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Experience working with reconciliation platforms, operational systems and data analysis tools (e. g. Duco, Smart Stream, Sim Corp, SQL, Excel).
  • Understanding of operational data flows, exception management and settlement messaging processes, including exposure to SWIFT environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver technology change, automation and stakeholder-led transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to workflow automation or low-code platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Ui Path or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and their application within regulated operational environments.
