Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced People Lead to support a growing technology delivery function working across a complex and dynamic client environment. This role offers the opportunity to lead, develop and support engineering and specialist teams, ensuring individuals are engaged, motivated and positioned for success. The successful candidate will play a key role in performance management, resource planning, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the support of performance reviews, career conversations and general leadership of people to get the best from them.
  • Drive the attainment of objectives, contribute to those objectives and drive success overall in the team.
  • Support, understand and empathise with account challenges and complexities and to ensure resolution of such.
  • Act as a point of escalation for account issues related to people, resource planning and new work take on.
  • Manage the costs of resources, undertake hiring and other items to ensure the right people are in the right places.
  • Where needed, support meetings to resolve concerns, define best practice approaches and ensure successful delivery.

Your skills and experience

  • Knowledge of End User Services / Digital Modern Workplace would be advantageous.
  • ITIL understanding / applications would be of benefit.
  • Refined communication and organisational skills and the ability to talk to Engineers, End users, Senior Management, and Third-Party suppliers amongst others.
  • Experience of leading multidisciplined teams with differing priorities.
  • Financial acumen for management of costs.
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience.
  • Able to resolve and have difficult conversations with regards to approaches and performance.
