We are actively looking to secure a Desktop Engineer to join Experis. Experis Consultancy is a Global entity with a well-established team with over 1000 consultants on assignment across 20 clients globally. Job Purpose/The Role:
The Desktop Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining end-user computing environments. This role ensures that all user devices and workplace technology are operating effectively, providing reliable support to internal users and contributing to a positive user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for end-user devices, resolving issues and service requests in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and associated equipment.
- Support users with day-to-day technical issues, both remotely and on-site.
- Manage user access and ensure systems are set up appropriately for business needs.
- Maintain and update device builds and configurations.
- Assist in the deployment of new devices and technologies.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Support the setup and maintenance of peripheral devices.
- Ensure systems are maintained in line with organisational standards and policies.
- Work with other IT teams to resolve issues and support wider technology initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and issues resolved.
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation.
