We are working with a fast-growing fixed income hedge fund who are looking to hire an experienced, data-oriented software engineer to join their lean but evolving team in London. There is a subtle buzz about the firm and it's fair to say that they have a definite "start-up" feel to them. This is a good opportunity for someone keen to take on more responsibility and lead on several greenfield projects. This is a high impact position where there is a need for a versatile individual to address challenges faced across the internal engineering landscape.

In this role, you'll operate across the business, including collaborating closely with PMs, Traders, Quants to build and scale the firm's core data and software platforms, owning everything from data pipelines and market feeds to internal front office tools and applications. This hire will also act as the technical bridge between the front office investment team and the wider engineering team. It's a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role as the firm looks to scale up.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience within front office or front-office aligned engineering (buy side preferred)
  • Strong expertise in Python development and building scalable and production-grade systems
  • Minimum of a BSc in Comp Sci or similar discipline within a highly regarded institution
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to operate within a time-sensitive environment
  • Track record of owning and delivering projects E2E.
