We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Health Insurance (OHI) Dev Ops Engineer to support the delivery, automation, and continuous improvement of our OHI platform.

This role will sit at the intersection of development, infrastructure, and operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient deployments across environments.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing release pipelines, maintaining version control processes, and enabling seamless integration between Oracle-delivered assets and internal systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Dev Ops practices and has experience working within complex enterprise environments, particularly within healthcare or insurance systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Azure Dev Ops pipelines to support automated deployment of Oracle OHI components across multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Production).
  • Ensure pipelines are robust, repeatable, and aligned with best practices in CI/CD.
  • Oracle OHI Deployment Management
  • Work closely with Oracle delivery teams and internal stakeholders to manage OHI releases, patches, and updates.
  • Take ownership of deployment activities and ensure successful implementation with minimal downtime.
  • Source Control & Release Integration
  • Take the files provided by Oracle and manage them through version control processes.

Specifically, you will take the files Oracle sends to Bupa, place them in Git, and create an Azure Dev Ops pipeline to manage and automate deployments.

  • Maintain repository structure, branching strategies, and release tagging standards.
  • Ensure consistent configuration across environments using Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) principles where applicable.
  • Manage environment‑specific variables and secrets securely.
  • Automation & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention in build and release processes.
  • Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline the delivery lifecycle.
  • Monitoring & Support
  • Provide support for production releases and troubleshoot pipeline failures or deployment issues.
  • Work closely with support teams to resolve incidents and ensure service stability.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work collaboratively with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth release cycles.
  • Act as a bridge between Oracle delivery teams and internal IT functions.
  • Documentation & Governance
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, pipelines, and configurations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Dev Ops or Release Engineering role, ideally within enterprise environments
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Dev Ops (pipelines, repos, artifacts, release management)
  • Experience with Git version control, including branching and merging strategies
  • Familiarity with Oracle Health Insurance (OHI) or other Oracle enterprise applications
  • Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, or similar)
  • Understanding of deployment automation and configuration management practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience working within the health insurance or healthcare domain
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Knowledge of containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (e. g., Terraform, ARM templates)
  • Understanding of security best practices in Dev Ops pipelines
  • Personal Attributes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment

All profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience.

Due to the high number of applications we will only be able to respond to successful applicants in the first instance.
