The Client

Our client are a global provider of technologies and services that advance and accelerate the development and manufacture of therapeutics.

Their portfolio ranges from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, biologic drugs, and novel cell and gene therapies. Their job is to supply the tools and services – the pots, pans, soups and sauces – they need to work better, faster and safer, leading to better patient outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with Chemists, Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Biologists to support activities including chemical analysis, device fabrication, and applications testing
  • Perform both routine and one-off laboratory testing such as Raman Spectroscopy, LC-MS, thermal analysis and dry weight
  • Preparation of buffers and membrane materials for reactions on small and large scales
  • Run chemical reactions for modification of membrane materials in flow reactors, following SOPs
  • Write up experimental findings in Electronic Lab Notebook entries and Technical reports
  • Contribute to lab organisation, e. g. maintaining stocks of reagents and chemical waste disposal

Who you are:

  • Either Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with minimum of 3 months laboratory experience, or Science A-levels (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years laboratory experience
  • Experience in wet chemistry and/or one or more of the analytical methods listed above
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Teamworking ability, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, able to multi-task efficiently

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
