Head of Legal (London, UK) : Our client, a prominent private equity shop with locations in the UK and the US, is seeking a seasoned legal professional to join their expanding team. The firm focuses its investments across a diverse range of industries, including business-to-business (B2B), financial services, retail, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, as well as emerging fields such as e-commerce and industrials. The successful candidate will work closely with C-level executives and play a key role in shaping and executing the firm’s legal strategy.

Compensation range : £300-400k base + bonus + carry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the legal execution of investments, partnering closely with external counsel to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for the firm’s compliance function, ensuring robust internal processes that align with fund terms, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the negotiation and execution of M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, and other strategic initiatives.
