Fixed Income Front Office Developer, Hedge Fund
We are working with a growing hedge fund who are looking to hire a front office, hands-on, Python developer. They are looking for a candidate who has demonstrable experience in writing production level code in a fast paced, ideally hedge fund environment. The work will be a mix of short term tactical and longer term strategic projects. There is plenty of greenfield work leading to opportunities to shape how things are done (as well as getting them done!). This is a smaller hedge fund so this has the benefits of being in a central team whilst remaining \’on-desk\’. The team you would be working closely with is fixed income (rates) focused, so exposure to these products is desired (but not essential). We see this as a good fit for someone who is looking for a role where they can take on significant responsibility in a highly visible role that interacts directly with PM\’s and other senior stakeholders.
Guidelines:
- Excellent Python skills (as an OOP) – being able to write clean code quickly. Having somewhat familiarity with broader software/dev/platforms will help.
- Fixed Income knowledge — huge bonus, but not required.
- Experience — circa 4-9 years of relevant experience, they are looking for someone still hands on. This is not a management role.
- Someone with experience working in a fast paced environment alongside PMs / Traders.
- This is an entrepreneurial environment which is both a blessing and a curse. Someone who understands the pro\’s and con\’s to this is required.
