This role plays a significant and central part of ensuring the business success of UK Sales & Commercial, delivering financial planning and strategy to shape commercial decision making that enhances the sustainable profitable revenue growth across a range of products and services, in both the medium and long term.
The role entails the following activities:
- Management on the planning processes across UK Sales & Commercial finance, identifying and driving governance improvement opportunities
- Management on producing multiple presentational packs with analysis and understanding for the UK S&C LT
- Drive financial analysis and insight to support the Commercial & Operations teams
- Management of the Medium-Term Planning (MTP) process and Monthly Forecasting Process
- Management of the Month End process
- Adhoc analysis to drive business improvement on areas such as cost etc.
- Coordinating, managing and building key commercial and strategic financial P+L forecasts (Outlooks and MTPs) on a rolling basis
- Leading on the Medium-Term Plan annual process ensuring engagement with all relevant stakeholders, quality output is produced, and delivery within the required timelines
- Produce meaningful finance presentation material for the month end analysis, leadership team and UK S&C reporting to Business
- Ensure the smooth running of the Outlook updates required and population into Value Driver Tree (VDT)
- Building and executing plans to deliver projects within the finance team
- Help to business partner the Commercial and Operations teams, ensuring alignment on insight, plans and initiatives going forwards
- Liaise with UK Business Centre, UK S&C Finance Leads and the GFSS Team
- Ad-hoc analysis and material presentation as and when required
Skills & Experience:
- Either Professional Accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA etc)
- Good spreadsheet modelling and analysis skills
- Experience of using forecasting tools
- Ability to own and deliver results
- Ability to work with & align key stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Creative thinking and innovation
- Constantly challenging the status quo; continually seeks out best practice
- Ability to convey the complex in a simple and meaningful manner
- Good influencer and strong communicator and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Awareness of how the role contributes to the strategic aims of the business
