Our client is currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join a highly regarded organisation on a 6-month contract within their Employee Services team. This is a challenging, varied, and impactful HR role, working at the heart of the business to manage complex employee relations matters while supporting managers and promoting a positive working environment.

The Role

As an ER Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations cases. You will take ownership of cases end-to-end and play a key role in developing management capability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, pragmatic ER advice to managers, balancing business needs with employee wellbeing
  • Manage complex cases from start to finish, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues
  • Coach and upskill managers to strengthen ER capability
  • Collaborate closely with HR teams and legal colleagues on complex matters
  • Identify trends and contribute to training and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely responses to queries

About You

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience managing high volumes of complex ER cases
  • Strong coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
  • Need to be able to hit the ground running
  • Able to work at pace and prioritise effectively in a demanding environment
  • Experience in complex organisations or technical environments is advantageous
