The location of the role is Newcastle, Manchester OR London (mostly remote – may be required onsite 2 days per week in certain periods). The duration of the contract is 12 months. The pay rate on offer is £650 per day (via Umbrella agency).

Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Architect to join our team and lead the design development and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions that seamlessly integrate on-premises and cloud-based services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams driving technical excellence and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key accountabilities of the role:

  • Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions combining on-premises and cloud-based services to meet client requirements and expectations.
  • Create architecture diagrams, component models and technology stacks for hybrid environments.
  • Provide expertise in managing on-premises infrastructure including virtualization, storage and networking.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize and secure on-premises environments.

Key skills and experience:

  • 5 Years UK Residency Required.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions, combining on-premises and cloud-based services.
  • Experience in creating architecture diagrams, component models, and technology stacks for hybrid environments.
  • Deep understanding of major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their respective services.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native services, serverless computing, and managed services.
  • Experience in designing, managing, and optimizing on-premises infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and networking.
  • Knowledge of on-premises automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing secure connectivity solutions (e.g., VPNs, Direct Connect, VPN Gateways).
