We are working with a specialist asset manager, with a long track record of performance, that is looking to hire a data platform analyst / analytics engineer to take ownership of its core data platform. It’s a period of significant data transformation for the firm. There is a growing focus on improving how data is handled across the business as well as ensuring consistency and alignment. The role focuses on bringing together data across investment, distribution, and operations, ensuring consistent and reliable outputs for both reporting and broader business use. It’s a hands-on role with significant autonomy and one where there is pronounced stakeholder management. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand how data is consumed, ensure the platform reflects real business needs, and help shape the evolution of the firm’s data environment. It offers the opportunity to own a business-critical platform and play a key role in the firm’s broader data strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop the firm’s Snowflake / Sigma data platform
  • Bring together data across investment, distribution, and operations
  • Deliver consistent, reliable data for reporting and business use
  • Work with stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable data solutions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in data platform, analytics engineering or data engineering roles
  • Buy-side experience preferred (asset manager, hedge fund, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and exposure to Sigma or similar BI tools
  • Experience working on or owning a data platform
  • Strong SQL and understanding of how data supports reporting and decision-making
  • Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders
