We're supporting our client, a leading organisation within the defence and national security sector in the search for an experienced Maritime & Land Personal Assistant to provide dedicated executive support within a fast-paced and highly professional environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and proactive PA with experience supporting senior leadership, managing complex schedules, and handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
The Role
As the Maritime & Land Personal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to a senior leader, ensuring effective diary and time management to enable the successful delivery of business objectives and customer commitments. You will play a key role in coordinating communications, managing priorities, and ensuring administrative processes run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, high-level personal assistant support to senior leadership.
- Manage complex and ever-changing diaries, ensuring the effective use of executive time.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage email traffic and correspondence, prioritising urgent matters appropriately.
- Escalate, delegate and track actions through to successful completion.
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, documentation and follow-up actions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across leadership teams and wider EA/PA networks.
- Maintain accurate, secure and confidential records, ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately at all times.
- Support the smooth running of day-to-day operations through effective planning, organisation and administration.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll be a highly organised and confident professional with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of supporting senior stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant role supporting senior leaders.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to resolve issues proactively.
- Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Calm and professional approach when working under pressure.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using virtual meeting platforms.
- Flexible, collaborative and adaptable working style.
Desirable
- Experience within defence, aerospace, engineering, government, or other regulated environments.
- Current Security Clearance.
