Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Experienced Steel Fabricator and Welder based in Worcestershire.
The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting steel to specification, and fabricating components using appropriate machinery and tools.
The right candidate will carry out MIG/TIG/arc welding, assemble and finish fabricated structures, and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and structural integrity.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following health and safety procedures, collaborating with colleagues to meet project deadlines, and assisting with loading, unloading, and organizing steel stock as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in steel fabrication, including measuring, cutting, drilling, and forming steel components to specification.
- Proficient welding skills (e. g., MIG, TIG, and/or arc), with the ability to produce clean, structurally sound welds in different positions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and job specifications accurately.
- Competence in using workshop tools and machinery such as saws, grinders, drills, presses, and lifting equipment, while following safety guidelines.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in a fabrication and welding environment, including PPE use and safe manual handling.
