PMO Lead – MSP ITSM Transition

Contract Length: 6-months (with potential for extension)

Location: Stevenage (2-3 days a week to start with)

Day Rate: £500Inside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced PMO Lead to manage the Programme Office for a major MSP ITSM transition. You’ll take ownership of multi-workstream scheduling, governance, and reporting, ensuring smooth coordination across stakeholders, workstream leads, and vendors. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in complex programmes and enjoys driving delivery across large IT transformation initiatives.

Key Experience Needed

  • Proven experience managing PMO functions on ITSM, IT transformation, or multi-workstream programmes
  • Strong schedule management, tracking dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple workstreams
  • Experience preparing SteerCo, Design Authority, and status reporting packs
  • Comfortable coordinating across technical teams, business leads, and external vendors
  • Familiarity with KeyedIn or other PPM tools is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the programme office for the MSP ITSM transition, ensuring governance and delivery oversight
  • Maintain master schedules across 5+ workstreams and track dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Prepare and coordinate SteerCo packs, Design Authority reports, and executive-level status updates
  • Manage document repositories, approvals, and audit tracking for all programme deliverables
  • Support workstream leads to ensure deliverables are on track and risks are mitigated
  • Provide additional coordination support where needed to keep the programme moving smoothly
