An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a leading Research Software company based in Oxford, with a hybrid working policy of 1 - 2 days a week. This is a great opportunity to join a growing cyber security function to protect their systems and data. It is vital to have experience across the whole cyber scope to include monitoring systems and networks, threats, investigating incidents etc.
As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise across Cyber Security including working with technologies and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2 and NIST. This role will require heavy hands-on technical expertise with a wide range of technologies that they are happy to provide full training on. On top of this, it is important to have worked in organisations gaining expertise across on-prem networking and cloud technologies.
Skills required for the Cyber Security Engineer:
- Knowledge of Network Security, Firewalls, Load Balancers and Endpoint Security
- Knowledge of cloud security within Azure and AWS environments
- Knowledge of cyber security principles, methods, technologies, and standards like NIST, SOC2, ISO 27001
Location: Hybrid - 1 - 2 days per week in Oxford
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum plus benefits
