Role: Desktop Support Analyst

Location: London (on-site with global collaboration)

I\’m hiring a Desktop Support Analyst to join the global Technology Operations team at a fast-paced, technology-driven firm operating across markets and time zones. You’ll be supporting a highly skilled internal user base, ensuring their systems and tools run smoothly so they can focus on what they do best.

This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting instincts, a customer-first mindset, and a deep understanding of Windows-based environments. You’ll play a key part in supporting users, managing hardware/software issues, and helping the team continuously improve how support is delivered.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to 500+ internal users across global offices.
  • Handle tickets and incidents via well-defined internal runbooks and escalation processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues across Windows 10, Office 365, Exchange/Outlook , and Active Directory .
  • Work closely with Level 2 & 3 teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Use internal monitoring tools to proactively resolve alerts and minimize service disruption.
  • Contribute to scripting and light automation to boost support efficiency.
  • Participate in an on-call weekend rotation and ensure reliable support coverage.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • 3+ years in a desktop support or technical support role in a Windows environment.
  • Deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy , and Office 365 tools including OneDrive, DLP, and SharePoint.
  • Hardware installation, diagnostics, and remote troubleshooting experience.
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have:

  • Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python
  • Exposure to Linux and/or basic networking concepts
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems , knowledge bases, or request runbooks
