I'm currently working with a well-known national charity looking to hire a Social Media Manager to lead and grow their social media presence across multiple platforms. This role will sit within the organisation's communications function and play a key role in delivering engaging social media activity that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, and wider organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing organic social strategy, supporting paid social activity, and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to identify and promote compelling stories and campaigns. The role would suit an experienced Social Media Manager or Senior Social Media Executive who combines strong stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of growing and managing social channels for a recognised brand or organisation.
The Social Media Manager will:
- Lead the organisation's social media strategy across key platforms, driving audience growth and engagement
- Develop and deliver engaging organic social content and campaigns
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to identify content opportunities and campaign activity
- Manage and support one direct report, providing guidance and development
- Monitor and report on social media performance, using insights to optimise future activity
- Support the delivery of paid social campaigns alongside wider communications and marketing activity
- Stay up to date with emerging social media trends and platform developments
- Ideally have experience managing social channels with a significant audience and strong brand presence
- Ideally have exposure to paid social media activity
