We’ve partnered with a fast-growing sports tech company that’s building real-time, AI-powered analytics for live sports - video data streaming straight from the stadium to customers, as it happens.
They’re now looking for a Python Software Engineer to join their AI function. You’ll sit at the core of the product, re-architecting and optimising the infrastructure that powers real-time insights.
🚀 What You’ll Be Doing
- Rebuilding the backend of a real-time, video-driven stadium analytics platform
- Designing systems that stream video and data live to end users
- Collaborating with AI and data teams to feed video streams into ML pipelines
- Working with tools like FFmpeg and GPU acceleration for video processing
- Driving the shift from batch processing to low-latency infrastructure
You should have:
- Hands-on Python development in production
- Real experience building or optimizing real-time systems (bonus points for media, finance, surveillance, or video)
- Exposure to video tooling like FFmpeg, OpenCV, or GStreamer
- A solid grasp of how things work “under the hood” — data structures, memory, OOP
- Comfort working closely with product teams in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment

- Reporting to the Head of AI
- Supporting the AI team by building out infrastructure (not training models)
