Purpose of Role
Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising will increase store footfall by attractively displaying products and merchandise. Reporting to Visual Merchandising Manager, they maintain a retail store’s aesthetic ambiance to maximize profitability.
- Delivers and maintains excellent standards of store design & visual merchandising.
- Creates visual annual calendars and executes displays and visual strategies.
- Manages contractor relationships and records payment data.
- Negotiates prices with suppliers and processes purchase requests and orders.
- Ensures brand branches have consistent themes and visual turnover.
- Collaborates with marketing to create visual strategies and promotional events.
- Leads and motivates team members to complete jobs with high-quality standards and within target deadlines.
Responsible for rolling out the EMEA visual merchandising strategy in the UK.
- Liaises with the EMEA office to roll out global visual merchandising strategy and brand standards.
- Builds strong relationships with local functions and serves as the VM voice at discussion tables.
- Coordinates and trains third-party VM, provides regular feedback and identifies opportunities for further training.
- Leads VM space opening by creating VM plans of action and coordinates with merchandising, sales, retail marketing and accounts.
- Delivers guidelines for showroom set-ups.
- Conducts administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders, reports, KPI analysis and cross-functional communication.
Works in collaboration with category merch, GMM and account marketing planners to adopt the right range for strategic accounts.
- Supports GMM to create the best and most efficient range.
- Partners with wholesale account owners to deliver the business plan.
- Orders samples and sets up showrooms to support sell-in with GMM account owners.
- Maintains analytics/risk reports on sell-in and sell-through performance of the account.
- Provides floor-set guidance and direction to channel marketing for perfect execution and connectivity to seasonal imagery and marketing investments.
- Defines and implements the UA wholesale strategic accounts visual presentation standards for the region.
- Builds relationships with VM field promotors and the wholesale team.
- Develops planograms and visual merchandising plans for strategic accounts.
- Supports retail VM lead to train retail staff in visual merchandising standards.
- Provides regular updates of current visual presentation and feedback on what is successful and identifies areas for improvement.
- Leads the merchandising floor set and promotional calendar.
Qualifications
- All applicants: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
- Assistant Manager: Strong product knowledge, VM display/standard, bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred, 5 years of visual merchandising experience, comprehensive portfolio of visual design work.
- Sr. Professional: Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign basics, can read store floorplans and light plans, fluent in English.
- VM Space Planner / Field Promotors: 3+ years merchandising experience, fluent in English and Spanish, knowledge of non-US markets, superior presentation and communication skills, analytical skillset.

Base Compensation
$394,190.28-$492,737.85 MXN. Initial placement within the salary range is based on the applicant’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
