We have an exciting role for an electrical technician to join our development team. Our disruptive GHX25 UAV evolved out of our experiences with the Gyrotrak and Cargotrak aircraft and is a highly unique and complex system. We need a new team member to join and aid the development team by assembling drone prototypes, taking care of inventories, QC and aiding the overall production process. Currently we are at a low-volume manufacturing stage, but we are looking to scale to serial production in the coming months, in which transition you will be able to take a key role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assembly of professional drone airframes to high standards
- Glue and work with carbon fiber frames
- Wiring of electronic components, soldering and cramping of connectors
- Maintain, update firmware and set up electronic components like ESCs, servos, radio modules
- Assembly of mechanical parts
- Quality check incoming parts and components following QC procedures
- Take care of inventory of stock of parts and components
- Work to a high standard while following checklists and maintenance procedures
- Report and document your work professionally
We are looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated, bright, and hard-working individual with a keen eye for detail and ability to challenge the status quo with new approaches to how automatic UAVs should be built. You must be a pro-active self-starter who desires excellence and achievement.
Essentials:
- Expertise in electronics assembly techniques, soldering, cramping and wiring
- Knowledge of working with mechanical assemblies, adhesives and composites
- Able to read and work with technical drawings and 3D CAD files
- Good computer skills ideally
- Work to a high standard and take responsibility for the quality of your work
- Good organization skills and able to keep an eye on inventories and communicate with suppliers
- Thrive working in a team but also capable of getting things done pro-actively
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
