The Role: You will be responsible for capturing creative, top quality, social-first video content for our clients, ensuring it aligns with Uncovered’s creative vision and meets our internal quality standards for lighting, sound, and composition. Types of shoots will include, but are not limited to, food/recipe content, vox pops, auto, and events, either in a studio setting or on location. You’ll be working within the production team alongside Producers and Editors. You’ll support Creatives during ideation and pre/post production processes. Operating in an exciting & fast-paced environment, no two days are the same. Attention to detail, creativity, and good communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Capturing high-quality content that translates the creative vision and meets the needs of the client.
- Helping bring creative ideas to life by applying your technical skills in camerawork and lighting.
- Maintaining a well-rounded knowledge of social media content.
- Capturing content independently, as well as part of a larger team.
- Attending creative ideation and pre-production sessions to ensure you have a clear understanding of the content you're filming.
- Contribute to the post-production phases by assisting with edits when necessary.
- Stay current with the latest videography trends & technologies.
- Take responsibility for looking after valuable camera equipment.
Role Requirements:
- Competent camera operation (Sony Alpha series, Sony FX3, iPhone at a minimum).
- Competent operation of audio equipment (e.g. lav mics, on-camera shotgun mics).
- Knowledge of studio quality lighting (Aputure, Arri).
- A deep understanding of all things social video.
- Experience in creating high quality films for a social media audience.
- Skilled in marrying creative ideas with client needs to create effective social-first films.
- Being organised and able to keep up with many ongoing projects at once.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Must be able to thrive in the fast-paced environment of a creative agency.
