Uncovered is a London based social first creative agency founded in 2017. Social sits at the heart of everything that we do. From strategy to production, our team is fluent in social language with a deep understanding of the online audience. Working with a diverse set of brands to understand their distinct identity and objectives, we apply social‑first fundamentals for success: real world, real people, video‑first. We create at the speed of social; strategising, ideating, designing, and producing through our team of in‑house strategists, creatives, art directors, copywriters, producers, editors and videographers. We test, learn and iterate in real time, delivering end‑to‑end solutions from creative strategy through to reporting and analytics.

Role Overview

The Creative Director is responsible for leading and elevating creative output across Uncovered’s client portfolio, ensuring ideas are culturally relevant, platform‑native and creatively distinctive. This role combines big‑idea thinking with a deep understanding of social behaviour, creator culture and how audiences engage with content in‑feed. The Creative Director will help shape campaign concepts from pitch through to production, leading teams to create social‑first work that cuts through and drives results. They will work closely with Strategy, Production, Client Services and wider Creative teams to ensure ideas are not only creatively ambitious but executable and effective across social platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership
    • Lead the development of big social‑first creative ideas across campaigns and retained clients
    • Push for culturally relevant and platform‑native thinking across all creative output
    • Ensure work is built for how people consume content in‑feed across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms
    • Contribute to pitch work, campaign development and creative innovation
  • Campaign & Creative Development
    • Lead campaign ideation from briefing through to execution
    • Collaborate closely with Strategy teams to translate insights into compelling creative concepts
    • Ensure creative work balances entertainment, storytelling and brand objectives
    • Champion social‑first storytelling and creator‑led thinking throughout projects
  • Team & Collaboration
    • Mentor and support creatives across the department
    • Provide clear and constructive creative feedback
    • Work collaboratively with Production, Video, Edit and Client Services teams to deliver strong work
    • Support the growth of a positive, ambitious and creatively driven culture
  • Creative Standards & Innovation
    • Maintain high standards of craft and creative consistency across projects
    • Stay deeply connected to culture, trends, creators and platform behaviours
    • Bring new creative formats, storytelling approaches and social innovations into the agency
    • Help evolve Uncovered’s creative offering as social platforms continue to change

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience (10+ years) within a creative agency with at least 5+ years in social‑first agency or social within a more traditional / ATL creative agency
  • Proven experience leading social‑first campaigns and platform‑native creative
  • Exceptional understanding of creator culture, social storytelling and digital audiences
  • Experience leading campaigns from concept through to production
  • Experience presenting creative work internally and to clients
  • We would like to see evidence of leading or contributing to a social first, viral ‘hit’ campaign and big‑idea thinking deeply rooted in online culture
